Welcome to our School Kitchen
At Amesbury Primary, we are lucky enough to have our very own dedicated kitchen and fabulous catering team to provide our pupils with hot meals each lunchtime. Our fantastic catering duo, Mrs Day and Mrs Sarfas, create meals that are healthy, tasty and nutritionally balanced. Each day there is a choice of a meat or vegetarian main course or a jacket potato with a choice of fillings available. We also have different dessert options each day. A copy of our current menu can be found below.
School meals are free for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and are available to all other year groups at a price of £2.80. Meals need to be ordered at least five days in advance via Scopay. If you have any queries regarding this, please contact the office.
We believe that lunchtimes are a good opportunity to socialise with friends, try new flavours and textures and practice good table manners. Our lovely Catering Team and MDSA are available every lunchtime to support the children and encourage them where needed.
Important - Allergies and Allergens
If your child has an allergy, intolerance or dietary preference please ensure that you inform the school office before their first day with us, so that we are can cater for your child and safeguard them appropriately. Our catering team have allergy training and are very experienced in catering for different dietary needs.
Our menus highlight the 14 main allergens and where they are found within our meals. If requested where necessary, we can develop an individual menu for your child to accommodate their needs.
Packed Lunches
Alternatively, your child is welcome to bring in a packed lunch from home. Please remember we are a nut-free school and meals from home should be healthy and nutritionally balanced. Follow the link below for some ideas for healthy packed lunch options.
