Welcome to Danebury Class
Our very first term in Year 3!
This is our first year in Key Stage 2 so there are lots of exciting changes to our school day. Children need to bring their own lunch and healthy morning snack (fruit or vegetables). We are going to work hard to be independent and develop our Growth Mindset to become the best learners we can. Using our BLP skills that we learned about last year, we are starting with Respect so we will learn to respect the adults, each other and school property. Our first job is to write our Class Charter and get the class admin out of the way so we know what we are doing. Then we are going to learn all about our topic Stones and Bones. We will find out about the Stone Age which starting in England around 1 million years ago and travelling forward in time to the the Neolithic when Stonehenge was built. Our fabulous finish will be a trip to Stonehenge and we can't wait!
In science, we will be learning about the bones and muscles in our bodies as well as how to make sure we are giving our bodies the right nutrition to be big and strong.
Mrs Garner, Ms House and I are looking forward to a fantastic year in Year 3 with lots of exciting topics and learning to achieve. If you have any questions, please use the Home School Contact Book to get in touch with me.
